- We hunt a variety of migratory birds including Greater Canada geese, Canada geese, white front geese, Snows, Blues and Ross Geese. Also Sand Hill Cranes along with Ducks, mostly mallards and Pintails, but many others common to the Quill Lakes area. As much or more variety than anywhere in Canada!!!

Spring Snow Goose Hunting 2013
We are currently taking booking for the 2013 Spring Snow Goose Hunting Season. Join us for a great opportunity to hunt snow geese on their return migration to the nesting grounds. Limits of up to 20 per hunter per day and 60 possession are in place to help manage the snow goose population. If you are interested in this unique opportunity give us a call today. The fall 2010 was truly a season to remember. With over 50% of the crop not seeded in the area, we were not sure at the start how the birds, mostly snow geese would react. Would they hold in the area as they have done for the last 35 years or would they move west to more seeded acres?. Well it turns out they were consistent, they migrated to west side of the Quill Lakes region in big numbers. To further enhance the opportunity, the snow goose hatch was clearly one of the best in recent years, with about 25% of the birds staging in the area being Juvenile birds. That set up for some really big hunts. The season just ended on Oct 31, 2010, and last count we had harvested in excess of 3400 birds out of our base camp at Dafoe. This included, 10 x 100 plus birds shoots. See photos in our 100 bird club on facebook. The largest was Jaron Anderson and Chris Paclik with 140 birds in about 45 minutes!!!, the next was Jared Brown group with 130 and 135 bird back to back shoots. Almost every one of the groups in camp had a 100 bird plus morning in 2010. Snow geese in the tens of thousands make the Quill Lakes area one of their first stops in their migration south. Canada Geese and Speckled geese also stop to fuel up for their long flight south. Mallard, Pintail and Teal ducks also frequent the region. Our hunting area in the Quill Lakes region of Saskatchewan is indisputably one of the premier waterfowl hunting areas in North America! It is very common see in excess of 200,000 migratory birds per day coming off our side of the Quill Lakes during the migratory season.
We are committed to managing our number of waterfowl hunters to ensure that hunters who book with us will have excellent duck and goose hunting throughout their stay.
